Katie Dolan

I enrolled on a ceramics course in 2019 having never considered trying it before then. I found that I enjoyed hand building; from small pots to sculptural pieces. I studied fine art and art history at University of Wales, Aberystwyth in 2001/2 but since then, until my recent college enrolment, my creativity has had to take a back seat. I have found therapy in ceramics, it is a great way for me to relax and I feel a sense of pride when I create something that someone else admires. My work was part of a group exhibition at Arley Hall & Gardens in early 2022 and a sculptural piece of mine was displayed in the Visual Arts Cheshire Northwich Art Trail 2022. I'm looking forward to making at House of Clay Cheshire, the varied styles of our group will hopefully be a great introduction to us as individuals.
